Easy tomato pasta bake

This is a great cheap meal, serve with a salad or vegetables.

INGREDIENTS
500g pasta, penne works well
1 medium onion
2 tins of tomatoes, chopped
a couple of handfuls of grated cheese

1. Preheat the crock pot on high.
2. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
3. While it is cooking, in a medium size pot, sautée the onion in butter, then add the chopped tomatoes. Bring to a boil then place in the crock pot.
4. Add the cooked pasta to the crock pot. Cook for 1 hour.
5. Scatter over the top the grated cheese and cook for another 15 minutes until bubbling. Serve.
