Bacon & egg savouries
A simple derivative of the bacon and egg pie
3 slices of bacon, cut into small pieces (or ham could be used)
6 eggs, beaten
salt and pepper to taste
puff pastry
Grease patty pan tins.
Cut pastry into rounds to fit patty pans.
Place bacon in pastry case, add egg.
Cook 200C 15 – 20 mins until set and lightly browned.
These can be frozen and reheated very successfully.
Great hot or cold
Like the bacon and egg pie peas, tomato, onion, and cheese can also be included. For a low fat version use bread instead of the pastry.
